The designs "Mojo 4.0" and "Building Democracy One Thread at a Time" were screenprinted (not iron ons, ala Zazzle/Cafe Press) right here in California, USA and we stand behind our work.

All other designs (the new ones) were printed using a fairly new, very GREEN technology called direct digital printing. This is like a GIANT ink jet printer, that looks like a performance enhanced espresso machine.

It also prints ink directly on to the garment, and into the fiber with soft, water based ink resulting in a super soft, super durable print. We suggest you wash these shirts inside out and in cold water, and to avoid shrinking, hang dry. If you don't, yer shirts will still look fine, but may last longer if you follow these guidelines (set by the ink manufacurer.)

The great thing about direct digital printing, is that there are no chemicals, no screens, no ink waste (virtually), no hazerdous cleanups, no odor, and the printing takes very little power (2 110 outlets, pulling about the same energy as a light bulb.) Screenprinting requires a lot more for resources, so we stopped using that method for Daily Kos shirts. Plus we print them right here in sunny Alameda, CA.

If you experience any drastic fades, or notice any defects in your garment, please send an email to shipping at astropitch dot com and we will replace your purchase (free of any shipping charge).

If you have not washed your garment, and have decided that you need to get a different size, please return the garment to the return address on your invoice with a note explaining why it's coming back to us ("I want a large instead of XLarge" for instance), but customer will be responsible for a second shipping charge in this case (we can charge your card again, you can include payment in your return package, or you can send a paypal payment - in any package under 4lbs going anywhere in the USA, $4 should cover your shipping.)
